Today's New Pocket Knives

A few months ago I bought a slick little assisted-opener that Benchmade came out with this year, the 470 Emissary. It opens as quick as any switchblade and has a razor-sharp 3" S30V blade. Great little everyday carry knife. Grand Prairie Knives has the best online price I've found, although I bought mine from an Amazon vendor, since I had a gift card to use up.

I agree with everyone else on the Benchmade Griptillian, or min Griptillian. They are great knives. I'm not an enthusist really I just have a few knives. The Griptlian is my favorite, followd closely by the Spyderco Endura.
I also like the Kershaw and Sog brand. Both companies make fine assisted opening knives. I own the Kershaw black out and the Tantu(I think its called don't hold me to it.) They open really fast and I've never had one deploy in my pocket.
The sog assisted openers have a saftey on them to make sure they don't deploy in the pocket. I have the Sog twitch 2 and it a great light weight edc knife and meets your 4 inch when closed requirement. It is assisted opening with a saftey.
One thing is for sure you'll have no shortage of options.
Oh and one last thing.
Your requirements of: made in the USA, four inches when closed, and non serrated blade. I think the Kershaw Scallion would be a nice starting point for you. It meets the above specs.

W. Tex, I wasn't even aware of the Trapper Liner from Boker. That's a very nice fusion of modern & traditional design.
