I've been waiting for four months for my dealer to get a Springfield EMP for me. Last night I walked into a shop that said they would have me one in less than two weeks and for only $11 more than my regular guy(who I am loyal too hence the four month wait). I've looked at the Kimber Aegis and the Para equivalent but the Springfield is pretty much what I have been set on. Enter a new set of problems, there are a few other guns I wouldn't mind picking up, and I could really use a chunk of this Springfield money to catch up on some holiday bills. Those other guns are a Glock 19 or a Kahr CW9/CW40. The Glock I have been wanting for a while and it is on my eventual buy list. The Kahr however was something I just handled for the first time last night. I've never shot a Kahr, but found the CW40 in my usual shop today as I was checking up on the EMP status (Still nothing yet, but he said he is bugging the crap out of his suppliers over it). I'm really digging the thinness of the Kahr and I think the design is catchy, but the grip doesn't feel quite "right". This may be because my carry gun is a Colt Defender with ultra slim grips and it gets the most hand time. The Glock feels a bit too big in my hand, but I've shot plenty and always wanted something to replace the 27 I traded off. So, am I going to be happy with my purchase or am I going to regret not getting the EMP? I must say that if I don't get the Springfield now, it will probably be quite a long time before I have the extra money to pick one up.
