I took my buddies brother in law to the range yesterday. He's from Chicago and had never fired a gun in his life. He loved it, I started him out with my 22/45. Then we jumped to my Kimber. The gun he liked the most was my L1A1 when we were through he was hitting a 16" steel gong at 300 yds 50% of the time, not bad. One less Chicago resident that is anti gun!!!!

I'm one up on you.

My acquaintance was a vegetable eating, 21-year-old female that said I was a murderer for drinking a glass of milk(It's the cow thing). She also said a firearm was just an instrument of death and human suffering.

My wife convinced her to try a round of Trap-shooting for the first time, which led to a trip to the pistol/rifle range afterwards. She enjoyed it all and soon started calling at the middle of each week to see if we'd be going to the range that weekend.

She ended up gaining employment at the NRA's office in the Minneapolis/St. Paul area. Now she's in the accounting department.

Although she hasn't taken a whitetail yet, she does have her mind dead set on harvesting her first one very soon. She's just gotten 'skunked' the last couple years.

I find taking a newbie to be much better use of money vs. paying NRA dues just to have them sell you out (again).

Remember, a newbie that comes to "enlightenment" is able to enlighten others.. And so like compound interest, you can get interest on interest..
