Picked up my CZ SP01 after it sat at my local gun store for a grueling 37 days (i live in California and there is a 1 new handgun everyday 30 days law) Took her home and cleaned her. Applied frog lube and let it cure for an hour and then I went straight to the range.
Put 200 rounds of 115 grain speer lawman fmj down range in an hour's time. Zero malfunctions under any circumstances. There's a pic of the first 50 shots at 10 yards. Not my best but I was pleased at how accurate it was when I did my part.
The single action is really really sweet. It's lighter and more crisp than the rental 75b at the range, by A LOT. I am really impressed by it. The double action is long and heavy. I shot maybe 2 mags as double action, and the rest single action.
It is ACCURATE. I was too excited and in the moment to take more pictures. I should have.
The control placement is excellent. So far it's the only gun I can hit the mag release without altering my grip. The slide stop is placed so that I can easily actuate it, but it's nowhere near my thumbs when I'm gripping the pistol as to cause an accidental bump. The safety doesn't get in the way of my grip either. The control placement is excellent for a thumbs forward grip.
The higher upswept beaver tail is much more comfortable than the one on the 75b, which bit into the web between my thumb and pointer finger. Didn't have that problem with the SP01.
The recoil was so minimal. The least recoil in any 9mm ive shot so far. Te sights just land right back on target, it's feaky. The night sights are nice.
I could not be more happy with my purchase. And now a gun whore confession: I bought a satin nickel CZ 75b AND a 75b stainless on grabagun.com .. It was by accident. I am going to sell the satin nickel most likely.
