That was literally the first thing I thought when i saw the rust veins under the Duracoat

Well of course it gets double checked even if it goes back on the same rifle, but I can swap it around without remounting the scopes in the rings and getting them right, they're already good to good (crosshairs are lined up), just sight in.

I've been changing quite a few scopes in the last few years. I've upgraded from simple duplex reticles to higher magnification with a center dot scopes that my eyes see better. When I shoot prairie dogs, I am presented with an infinite variety of targets; sometimes hundreds of shots in one day with no two shots alike. Similar with squirrels, not the distance but plenty of variety. I have a KImber .204 that shoots lights out on prairie dogs. But, for a timeI wasn't shooting it that well. So, I changed scopes and the difference is huge with a hit rate improvement of about 10% especially in the 200-300 yd range. Another reason I've upgraded scopes is because I can afford better scopes than I could in past years. It is really hard to know what works best for you without trying different scopes.
