Traffic stop w/ a CCW/CPL/CHL

I've never been disarmed, so your experience seems unusual to me.

My friends all belive it is some secret code to cops to not give me a ticket because of my CHL, but I think it is my attitude, not my license.

I think its a little of both. I know in the times I've been stopped most officers seem to relax a little when I tell them I have my CHP and I'm armed.

I have had several chances to interact with LEOs in my area. I was only disarmed one time, and if I had been in his shoes I would have done the same thing.
