Transfer of rifles with pistol grip in PA

I'm pretty familiar with PA gun laws, and I've done my fair share of buying/selling/trading firearms here.

I'm looking to buy this fellas M&P-15, and he's trying to tell me we have to transfer it because it has a pistol grip. I'm 99.9% sure he doesn't know what he's talking about… but now I want to be sure. Can anyone confirm this? Thanks

Nevermind, I figured it out. He has seen the light, and I'm buying my SECOND M&P-15 Sport for $450! Too good of a deal for me to pass up

Pistol grip has nothing to do with it needing to be transferred.
