Yes, I hope to find something, but Im cheap; so I will only buy at the right price as well.

I have many stops on my way, including Walmarts. But I wont get my hopes up too much.

Headed out 6am; this will be fun :D

I saw a couple 100 packs of 38spl at a East TN Walmart yesterday. That's a change.

There is an indoor range in sevier county (sevier indoor range) that you could shoot at. There are also a couple others in the general area (knoxville, maryville). There is also in outdoor club (gatlinburg dioramas sportsman's club) that opens their trap range to the public on weekends. There is a fee for using the range. Both sevier indoor and the sportsman's club have web sites with more info and prices if you google them.

The bps is in kodak, right off the interstate at the sevierville/pigeon forge/gatlinburg exit. I might be heading there this afternoon. If so,i can give you an idea what their ammo situation is. Last time I went a few weeks ago they were pretty bare...some hunting calibers and a few pistol calibers, mostly self defense ammo.

There is a gun shop called j floyd's in sevierville. I think this is the one an earlier poster was referring to as on the left just before you get into sevierville. It is a but past the movie theater and shares a building with a BP station. I was there a couple weeks ago.they had a decent stock behind the counter ammo-wise. I'm not sure really what they had as far as calibers...i was on the hunt for the rare, virtually extinct 22lr. Before the craziness they had pretty good variety of ammo and pretty decent prices. You'll most likely be driving right by it on your way in so it wouldn't hurt to stop.

There is also a new place that I just noticed yesterday on chapman highway just outside sevierville. I can't remember the name, it was something gun and pawn. I've not ben in that one so I have no info other than it exists.

Wouldn't waste time with bps in kodak. I just checked them out. Plenty of shotgun and hunting calibers, but nothing really for pistols, ar, or ak.

A gun shop today that was mentioned here has Rem 223 for $25/box. Guess that's why they have some. Almost all of it is priced 2x normal pricing.

I stopped at the Walmarts along the way up, but nothing in Sevier county just yet as we were very late getting in. I had to completely skip Smyna/Atlanta as the entire area of 75 and north 285 was simply a parking lot.

I got around 200 rounds of Tulammo at various Walmarts. Not the best stuff, but for $5.27 a box in a shortage cant be beat. Walmart will be on my go to list after this blows over. Price gouging; Walmart simply did not participate. Not to mention, everyone I had dealt with were very nice and helpful. I was surprised to say the least.

I was also able to pick up a 42 round Promag from Academy for under $30; happy.

Ill still be checking out the shops here in Sevierville area when I have a chance or are driving by.

BTW, if you line up at 0800 with the 200 or so other folks at Gander Mtn you'll be able to snake your way back to the ammunition counter starting at 0900 and possibly pick up a couple of 550ct boxes of .22lr.
