I would love to own a range and store someday. It is my end dream to work to get capital to open a place, but there are some concerns and questions for a place like a range and store these days.
Where would you put it? My dream place would have an outdoor range for rifles with at least 500 yards, a pistol course, pistol range, and some trap/skeet ranges. They could be mixed in together, but there has to be outdoor area.
Also, an indoor range, 25 yards minimum. I would like to have a place where competitions of any type could be held inside and outside. All would have to be a full-auto friendly type place, but not necessarily hardcore "artillary" like at knob creek.
Second, location of this property with respect to laws. Obviously this is not going to be downtown NYC or San Fransisco. Gun friendly state/area/city.
Also, saturation. Some place like here in Columbus, Ohio would not be the greatest place. There are many high quality gun stores and ranges in the area. Also, you have to be in an area where people would buy firearms and use your range.

Maybe a seperate but close store and range could be ideal.
