Just a PSA for anyone looking for reasonably priced 22 ammo.

I bought this some time back. I don't remember what I paid, but it was budget friendly. I want to say it was about $30 for 325 rounds but could be mistaken. I hadn't tried it yet and had almost forgot about it. It shot very well for bulk pack ammo in 3 different rifles. I did this at 100 yards. Didn't measure it but I'm calling it "about" an inch.

I shot a lot of silhouettes with Automatch years ago. It was good for 1/2-3/4" 50 yard groups out of my CZ 452/455 rifles. Back then, I was giving less than $11.00 a box for it shipped. I still have a case or two.

Pretty good shooting.

was about $30 for 325 rounds
Current price is $18.97 for 325 reported by members at Walmart and $187/3250 + free shipping = $28.77/500 ($369/6500 + free shipping = $28.38/500) - https://www.thehighroad.org/index.p...-shipped-pricing.902560/page-12#post-12647254

This is what Federal Auto Match did with factory 10/22 barrel (4100 round count) with new Volquartsen trigger and free floated barrel at 50 yards compared to other brand/weight 22LR

And Federal Auto Match in T/CR22 factory barrel (2000 round count), new Volquartsen trigger but with factory 4 lb return spring, free floated barrel at 50 yards

And 100 yard groups with 10/22 factory barrel (Round count 5750) better "accurized" with Volquartsen trigger at 2.25 lbs (Trigger round count 1750), Power Custom match bolt, free floated barrel, Tactical Solutions V block (1" square target) using Aguila 40 gr CPRN - https://www.thehighroad.org/index.p...22lr-on-the-cheap.898035/page-2#post-12194385

I am getting ready to do one year follow up to my now 30+ brands/weight/lots of ammunition comparison and look forward to testing several new lots of Federal Auto Match with "accurized" 10/22.

I pretty much gave up on federal 22 ammo when I bought a blue box couple summers ago and I was shooting it and I was getting all kinds of blow back in my face and a couple rounds sounded like squib loads I took that trash and tossed it... I’ve never bought another box of federal ammo since...

As a general rule I don't buy bulk ammo like the Federal Blue Box. Accuracy is never good enough for what I want to do. I honestly don't remember where I got this or what I paid. I'd bought a box and forgotten about it until finding it in my ammo cabinet. I normally find CCI Mini-Mags to be a good balance between price and accuracy. But this stuff is at least as good and priced a little better. Glad I finally tried it, I'll be buying more.

I used to shoot a lot of Automatch. For the price it's pretty good. It's good plinking ammo.
That's a great group for cheap ammo at 100 yards. Actually it is pretty dang good period.

Good shooting and I’ll keep that in mind when I buy some more .22 LR
