I am going to try out some RL-15 powder after discovering that my load recipe seem to varied with Varget powder between different lot #'s (tried atleast three) by as much as 1.8 gr.

I was wondering if I could use my BR2 primers without ill effects, seems most people don't use BR2 primers with RL-15 it appears.

on another note, I was wondering how well the direction from the following website works for finding the distance of your land and grooves. (at the bottom of the website)

http://www.ktaccuracy.com/Reloading.htm

I am shooting in a Rem700 VS LH that still has stock heavy flutted barrel

Most people seem to use Fed primers, which I see no reason not to except that I have nearly 900 CCI BR2 primers that I would like to use up before buying a new primer.

thanks for the reply,
drake

My best load for my .308 was using BR2's with RL-15. 44.5 gr and 165 Sierra Game Kings. Interesting about the Varget. I've switched from RL-15 to Varget recently due to problems I was having with POI shift and temperature with RL-15. Could have been something else, but seem to have had better luck since switching.
