Stick with 9mm and .40 S&W.....
or get something else like in .45 ACP or an AR15??

I have a conversion barrel for my G23 in .357 Sig. But, my handguns to date are all either 9mm or .40 S&W. Should I branch out to another caliber handgun or stick with the calibers I have and just diversify within caliber?

I don't have a .22lr handgun or .45ACP. I also don't own any revolvers. Looking for something mainly for range fun as I already have several CW options in 9mm and .40 S&W that I'm comfortable with (Glock compacts and subcompacts and a KAhr PM9). My other fun range gun is a Sig P226.

Suggestions? Price range is up to around $700-750. Can I get a decent AR15 for that? What about a decent 1911? Springfield Loaded? S&W 1911?

S&W 625 in 45acp that would fill your revolver and 45acp spaces.
I just picked one up at the gunshow I like it.
Thats my 2cents

I bought mine used (very little) for around $600 It was a JM model if I had to buy a JM new its around 750 where I live. I have seen them as low as $500 for standard models. Go to gunboker.com and gunsamerica.com. Just watch they come in 45 long colt and 45acp.

-Duplicate of CCW

-Something simple to use to introduce new shooters to shooting.
Single shot .22 rifle for a kid, .22 revolver/semi auto, Used Police trade in Model 10 in 38spl, 1100 in 20ga...etc.

-.22 rim-fire, handgun and rifle are two things everyone should have anyway.

Great!

I am just being me.

I think everyone needs a backup CCW and something for new shooters to be introduced to shooting with.

I done turned into my Mentors and I understand why they always had a grin.
They were just big kids.

So "this" big kid gets a kick out of shooting a old Rem 514 single shot .22 rifle with iron sights. :)
No mags, not even a tube like a Marlin 60, just one cartridge at time. :D
I look great shooting a Pink Cricket, a Chipmunk, Marlin 25 youth....
"Can I shoot MY gun now?" these kids ask, snickering and ..."one more shot, please?" I ask.

Old Standard Models of Ruger MKI and MKII, High Standard Duramatics, Buckmarks...
Just the regular gun, not too long and heavy where a new shooter gets fatigued.

Oh...I really like K frames, especially a Model 18 in 22 rim-fire and the Model 10...
Hey them Speer Plastic Training bullets are a hoot!

I get a big kick out of kids getting big eyes, hand claps, and one foot hops when handed a box of .22 ammo.

The ladies shooting these handguns and ...and...[strike] plead, whine, look pitiful and beg just right[/strike] ask and ladies bake cookies, brownies and stuff. :D

You have to get corn dogs with the sticks ya know?
These are great for punching out receiver pins on a shotgun teaching a new person all about a shotgun...

New shooters are great, especially the one with dogs...you have to spoil the dogs ya know?

;)
