Tucson to Portland

So I moved from Tucson AZ to Portland OR. In AZ we could drive five miles out of town and go shooting in Arizona. In Oregon I'm finding trouble finding areas. Does anybody know of a spot where I can go shooting close to Portland?

For open land, you'll need to do some asking around to find out what's available.

Welcome to Oregon, I moved here from SE Idaho and it was quite a cultural shock. Still is!

I'd prefer open land. Don't like paying the extra money for ammo from the gun ranges and prefer the freedom.

If you can get into TCGC you can shoot almost anything. Douglas Ridge Rifle and Pistol Club and Chehelem Valley Sportsman's club are good places to look into.

For open range ( we call it clear cut here ) you'll have to drive an hour or so North. You might be able to find something on the coast range but unlikely. If you really want a spot theres quite a few good long range places to shoot across the Columbia ( on the other side of the Columbia in SW WA. Don't shoot across the Columbia. Fish and game frown on that ) towards Stella on the way to the coast. I'm talking about free shooting . None of that paid range with range Nazi silliness.
