I would not tumble them. The media will just stick to the goop. I would put them in a bucket and wash them off with soapy water. Lay them out and let them dry.
I tumbled a whole lot of pulled M2 bullets several years ago. I used old corn cob with a lot of mineral spirits, and about 30 minutes later I had nice clean bullets but really dirty cob. Tumbling won't hurt the plating unless you let it run several days.
Well, I tried a small batch. It was a complete waste of time. Just like rc said. It took a long time cleaning out the cavity. Goop still on them. A mineral spirit bath is in order. Thanks guys!!
