Thanks y'all.
I'm aware there's different gun guidelines for IDPA and IPSC... but my team shoots both, and even though my personal preference is for IDPA, the local IDPA club isn't as much fun to shoot with as the IPSC club.
In fact, you see more texas stars and unrealistic scenarios there than in the IPSC matches at the same place.
My other pistols are a Beretta 92FS (after a couple incidents involving multiple hits on a popper before it went down, I can't trust the 9mil competitively, I don't like the DA first shot, and its huge for carry) and an XD-45 (better caliber and grip shape, but a double stack .45 would be a pain to conceal on my 5'10'' 150lb frame).
As it stands I shoot matches with the .45 and use the 9mil for cheaper practice or as a match day loaner for other cadets who don't have their own guns with them.
Given the way ammo keeps going up, I'm probably going to convert an AR15 and a pistol to .22 in the near future.
