no problems shooting plated with your DE? I thought you can only use jacketed.
Quality plating will hold up just fine. I did some testing with plated .44s awhile.bavk and posted the pics. I will try to track them down.

i have a couple " screwdriver" loads: 20 plus grains of h110 under a 325 grain bullet for my 45lc blackhawk (note: a ruger only load), 30 plus grains of h110 under a 180 grain xtp bullet for my model 29. the 44 magnum load is the most impressive.

I use 8.3grs Bluedot in 9mm as a flinchometer. Not a boomer but different than most small pistol rounds. After 200 rounds at an indoor range, if you don't see the fireball, you're blinking/flinching.:D

I loaded 7.3 gr 3N37 under a 165gr JHP for 40S&W. I don't know how loud it was...I was too busy trying to ensure my bones were still intact after the recoil. My wife said they were quite noticeable.

I'm going to have to de-construct the rest of them. These are the "starting loads" according to Vihtavuori, but I woke up in pain the next morning, like someone was trying to carve my entire right arm and back around to my shoulder blade from my body. I shoot for fun...these loads were NOT fun.

I don't recall where I got the data. I'm certain someone here. Awesome load. 10MM
8.3 gn Blue Dot under a 155 gn FP extreem seated 1.250. It is a boomer at an indoor range. I don't think I'll stick with it or at the very least I'll keep 50 or so on hand just for that boom factor. Muzzle flash and report were excessive. It was a lot of fun to shoot I'll admit but practicality....
I know there are powders better suited to 10mm. I just don't happen to have any currently.
Do you have a favorite noise maker/head turner? Something flashy and loud for the sake of being flashy and loud? Even the staff asked when I was leaving what I was shooting. Enjoyable trigger time today.
.375 Ruger. 84gr rl-17 under a 270gr speer btsp. At 100yds It will delink the chains that come with the cheap steel target kits, and turn head size lava rock into dust.
It's loud, shoves pretty good, but it's a real blast to shoot. Helps that I shoot it really well.

If I'm simply trying to be obnoxious, any of my braked rifles can do that well enough.

silhouette wise .44 full charge of h110 under a 240mbc.

When the range is crowded, I like to load 5 regular .45 Colt loads with 8.5 grains of Unique, and then put a Ruger only load with a case darn near full of H110 in for the last round.
There's quite a difference, even with muffs on.
