If BHO had made good on his word to broadcast the health-care negotiations on C-SPAN, maybe I could take his word on the "individual right" statements he made at those politically opportune moments. Mr. Whimsy has it wrong-end-to. The reason Obama hasn't done anything is because Congress won't touch the gun issue because of the importance of re-election. Anti-gun legislation = a loss in November. Re-election is the highest priority for Congressfolks. Issues are far less important.
