Does anyone know what is going on with Uberti, Cimarron, Beretta/Benelli. I mean, with respect to the manufacture and availability of Uberti firearms.
I have been told by two different dealers that they cannot get any response from Uberti or Cimarron. No one answers the telephone, no one responds to requests for contact. A dealer told me he hasn't been getting some Uberti firearms from Cimarron with the "Cimarron-Fredericksburg, Texas" stamp on the barrel, and, although they come in a Cimarron box, there is no way to be sure they are actual Cimarron processed Ubertis. I understood that Cimarron had a pretty exacting inspection and selection process for guns they accepted from Uberti and that was the major reason I wanted to buy a "Cimarron" firearm, although the basic Uberti is supposed to be a high-quality firearm, and is available through numerous sources.
I understand that Beretta/Benelli bought out Uberti, but what does that mean with respect to the continued manufacture/availability of "Uberti" firearms?
Any information or insight would be appreciated. I want to purchase a Uberti BP revolver (or several), but want to know what I am getting, if possible.
