Uberti Walker Colt----help!

I would think the guy using 30gr is going a bit light. I regularly shoot 40-45 in my Dragoon with very good results...I would imagine the Walker would be close to the same. Like Mykeal said, the question revolves around seating the ball tightly. If you were to use a filler on top of the powder you could probably step it down even more.

I carry a 38cal cast bullet for 44cal and a 32cal cast bullet for 36cal in my BP box to finish seating balls in my cap and ball revolvers when i do light loads and do not want to use filler.

I am the one who posted pictures of the modified lever spring. Here are some more pictures that I hope will make it easier to see what I did. Be careful not to file too much. I filed a little then tested the fit until I got it right. I now use the screwdriver end of my nipple wrench to push on the spring to unlock the loading lever.
