Went shooting this morning, took seven handguns, an AR15, and a Mini14. Main use for the Mini14 was to try out some magazines I'd acquired (give aways), had fired the Min14 about ten rounds before just to see if it worked, no problems. I ran about thirty rounds of my reloads through the AR. Worked as expected. No problems at all. Not so with the Min 14. Had several fail to fires, fail to feed, fail to eject. Light mark on pimer or none at all. Three rounds would shoot, two wouldn't. I saved up the nonfires and ran them through the AR. No problem. Part of the problem with the Min14 was caused by my very close attention to seating the primers deep because of anxiety of a slam fire in my ARs. I was about to put it up when my buddy handed me his last three boxes of Wolf. Try this. That Mini14 ran like a Singer sewing machine in a three shift Singapore sweat shop. Absoultely flawless. Feeding was smooth in all three magazines, accuracy was repeated 5" groups at 50 yds using open sights, outstanding overall. And this is was the old laquer coated ammo. What the heck, if that's what it likes who am I to deprive it of cheap ammo.
