Unintended Consequences

My impression ( as always could be wrong ) is that it was Janet Reno Ex Attorney General.

It needed another pass through the editor's hands to trim the fat.
I definitely agree with this statement. I finally finished it (some weeks ago) and while I enjoyed it there is a great deal of stuff in the book that doesn't especially add to the story. I think the book would've moved a great deal quicker if they just trimmed out a good deal of Henry as a young kid (yeah i get it, he likes firearms :neener:).

One of the best things about the book was the cover. I would like a large poster or print of it framed to hand in my home. I may get my sister to paint me one. I loved the whole book and can hardly wait for the next. But I love to read and I loved the fact the book was a long read. I could not read it fast enough. Even my brother in law who does not usually reads books read the whole thing and loved it. I bought 3 more and gave them as gifts.

Re your "can't wait for the next one", unless you look good in blue, don't hold your breath. From everything I seen, read or heard, I do not expect to see the "next" book any time soon, sad to note, for I think it could prove "interesting" to say the very least.

I own UC, but I ahve only read parts of it. It is a very good book so far.

Matthew Bracken's first book, "Enemies Foreign and Domestic" was one of the best fiction books I have read. The sequel is also very good. I can't wait for the third book to come out later this month.

The 6th edition of EFAD is much refined relative to the original. I wasn't as impressed with book two, but three (of which I read about 80% so far) is amazingly good. Much better than either of the first two.

I took my CCW class from John
Ross. Interesting guy. Smart but not a big conversationalist. I bought his book and he let me shoot his machine gun. Worked out good for me both ways.

From the bits and parts I've read, it's as distasteful as The Turner Diaries and I can't imagine John Ross' ATF inspections (he is an FFL, right?) aren't a bit awkward.

Not my cup of tea.

It's FICTIONNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN!

I bought it back in the Dark Ages of Assault Weapons bans, Waco and Ruby Ridge. Read it in a few days cover to cover. I've spent time doing worse.

Read it in 3 days and can't wait for the sequel, which I really hope comes out soon as I have seen 2004 and 2006 listed as targets for release!

While plenty could have been trimmed, I didn't notice a single paragraph I thought should be removed and frankly would have loved another 600 pages.

ps. Thanks for the signed copy John!

For those readers, several, who await the sequel to Unintended Consequences, I too looked forward thereto, unless you look good in blue, don't hold your breath waiting, as it appears to me, and I could certainly be wrong, that Unintended Consequences 2, for whatever reason, isn't going to happen. Pity that, but that's how it looks to me.
