Unite North America

I find it interesting that North America as a continent actually contains Mexico as well. Check your geography books if you don't believe me. Looks like UnitedNorthAmerica isn't so united after all........lol........either way I say NO WAY!

Assimilating Canada and Mexico now would just hurt us. 50 years ago, it might have been a great idea.

We need to re-establish the whole concept of the USA. It's ALL about the Bill of Rights. If we can do that, we can accept others into Freedom and hold off a new Dark Age.

If we can't understand and accept that we are the ones who are RIGHT, the Visigoths will destroy us.

What benefit can you see, that isn't very short term, or simply fixing a problem that was created so the SPP could fix it?

And no offence, but I have enough trouble trusting my own gov't. I don't trust the US gov't when it comes to simple things like trade agreements, and I sure as hell won't trust Mexico's gov't. What the hell good will come from 'integrating'?

This ISN'T about free markets, it's about gov't control. More gov't, a whole 'nother level of gov't, is NEVER a good thing.

Are you serious?! That is one of the worst ideas I've ever heard!!! Give our freedoms away for the socialists up north and our prosperity to the third-world country to the south? Where the hell is our benefit? Everybody BUT America would win with this one. Do you like the crime, drugs, and otherwise completely corrupt culture in Tijuana?! Do you like the socialized anti-individual government in Ottawa?! This would be an act of treason by the United States government.

When this happens I will take up arms against my country and do all that I can to repel any invaders from either country and neutralize the political scum that did it. If it costs me my life then so be it. Did I mention that this idea is one of the worst possible for America?

No benefit

Maintain business as usual with our friends to the North and build a very high wall across the southern border...make patrolling of the southern border an ongoing training exercise for our troops....maybe introduce gators, pyranha and a few other nasties to the Rio Grande River to help supplement border security and call it a day.

Bad idea... VERY bad idea.

OK,whenever this subject comes up, I see nothing but negative comments. But, I personally think IF IT'S DONE RIGHT, this might not be such a bad thing. Commercially, each country has something to gain.

Both Canada and Mexico have resources to offer the US,and each other
Canada (and Mexico, toa lesser extent)are markets for US products

Some of this has already happened, anyway. The US gets lots of natural resouces from Canada(and some from Mexico) and sells plenty of finished products to Canada. MANY, many US companies have moved their production to Mexico, because labor is cheap,bu the end result is an increase in money(income)for Mexico.

Nothingv says we need to change our systems of government, in fact we (as the "primary" motivators) should be able to influence the others, in the "correct" direction

I don't know about that. Adding millions of new voters who want the government to take care of them and with little to no concept of individual liberty will probably change our government pretty dramatically.

Canada would never join to make the United States of North America because their population is about 1/9th that of the US. Most Canadians would be worried about their little system getting diluted or altered by US voters... though it would be neat to make the largest country (in terms of landmass).

If it were to happen, it would have to be over a very long period of time starting with some sort of loose EU-like confederation.

Seems we've tried that a number of times without success. Big mistake, we
are ending America and the middle-class fast enough no need to rush it.

I am shocked at people that want to embrace the destruction of the USA.

Please, before you embrace some kind of "expansion" of the USA, only needs to do some honest research into the issue. If you read .gov produced info, then you also need to read info from the John Birch Society. You cannot, in all intellectual honesty, come to the conclusion that expanding USA to provide benefits (social security, welfare, education, etc.) to the peoples of Mexico, Brazil, Columbia, et al., will be of benefit to the US Taxpayer, nor the Canadian Taxpayer.

Moreover, unless there is a change to the Constitution, a legal, lawful change, then any "partnership" agreement is not invalid, but a direct violation against the sovereignty of this Nation and clearly warrants implementation of Treason proceedings against any elected official that supports such an expansion.

The North American Union. We have the EU then the NAU then Africa will join in as the African Union. Then we will have the Asian Union. Then South and Central America Union will be be absorbed into the NAU. When all is said and done we will have a World Union with a currency called World Credits. All under a World Union leader dictatorship. How fun. Glad I'll be dead before that happens.:barf: :barf: :barf: :barf: :barf: :barf:

Ugh... no, not a good idea.

However, I would be open to say a Confederacy of North America spanning everything from Texas up through the more liberty-minded Canadian provinces on into Alaska. Let the statists on our northeastern and western coasts find their own way. I'm sure they'd be decent trading partners as foreign entities... since they say we poor schmucks in the red states are net losses to the Federal Budget, I'm sure they'd like that to. :)

Would guns be less restricted in the Canadian area if this comes true?

Hahahahahahaha....no.

Okay, I don't know that for a fact, but it's a safe bet that everyone will have FEWER gun rights, not MORE. After all, you think they'll even DREAM of putting a "RKBA" in the NAU Constitution???? We'll be darn lucky to get so much as any kind of Bill of Rights!

I for one intend to fight this tooth and nail! :fire:

:barf: :barf: :barf: :barf: :barf:
And we can call it the united north american emirates:barf: :barf:
Sorry...keep Mexico and Canada where they are..outside our borders..
Dumb idea...sounds like it came from France:what: :barf: :barf:

I do not support any nation, or government organization in which the United States Constitution and Bill of Rights is not the supreme law of the land. And if there were ever any kind of nation-joining between us and Canada and Mexico, it would require another set of rules to preside over the three nations. That would usurp our documents, and I cannot support that.

And as chaim said, adding the Mexican and Canadian citizens would only dilute our freedoms, not build theirs up. Both of those nations are simply accustomed to socialism. Their citizens would demand such socialism from the new government, and our own American socialists(dems) would agree. RKBAers and other small government pro-liberty types would become even more of a minority than we are now.

The US Constitution and Bill of Rights bows to nothing, except God.

This reeks of the New World Odor.

More steps towards world government.

Freedom and sovereignty are inseparable.

I think our current level of government is too bad already. I think there should always be a place where one can go to escape the rules of where they are. That's why we have States. If I don't like the rules and way of life of Michigan, I can move to another state. I'm actually fine with places like California and Massachusetts being socialist and leftist. There are obviously people who want to live like that. I say let them. Let there be a few states who feel that way, and others who feel different ways. That way people can choose where and how to live based on their own preference.

Problems arise when people feel the need to nationalize everything. Force one way of living on everyone else. CA wants to give 500$ to every child born there. Good for them. But they had better not make me or my state do the same. If I want to do that, I'll move to CA.

So the same goes for this New World Order crap. Once the whole wordl lives under one set of rules and one way of life, there is nothing outside that for people who don't agree. I can't move off the planet if I don't agree with the World Government.

Amendment 10 is second in importance only to Amendment 2.
