unusual question, answer might save a life in your neighborhood

If you fire a gun completely level, and drop a bullet out of your other hand at the exact same time, in theory gravity will pull them towards the earth at the same rate, and they will impact at the same time on the ground. Angle, windspeed, temperature, humidity, and the air moving under the fired bullet would creat a bit of lift that would keep it airborne for slightly longer. So calculate how long it takes to hit the ground, then apply the speed of the bullet leaving the muzzle and guess at the reduction in speed due to drag, and you could guess at a rough distance that it would travel.

However, the one thing missing from what I just said is this. Why in the heck would you do something so recless as discharge a gun in your neighborhood? What business morally, responsibly, or legally would a person have shooting at anything or anyone that was 150 yards away other than if you were hunting? The bottom line is this, while it is an interesting question, the answer doesn't matter a bit as it is a totally reckless thing to do and you should never fire a gun without knowing where a bad shot may end up.
