Worried for nothing:
Slide was scribed with the frames serial number. Weird:
Completely detail stripped, inspected, cleaned and oiled it. Other than being dirty, the sear spring was the only thing inside that appeared suspect (rust):
After polishing your basic contact points for trigger pull and feeding to a mirror finish, I assembled it and took it out. Today's temp? -17° here.
Target says 25 yards but was actually shot at 20 yards, rested off the bench:
More complimenting to group size
:
This was my first and only time out with it (and my first 7 shots pictured) using a load that worked well for my Ruger 1911. Not counting the "flyer"- more of a pull I immediately knew I fudged up, it looks like about 2+" @20 yards. I could dail in a new load but i'll stick with the 4.0 bullseye/200swc for simplicity between guns. I'm happy enough. It may shoot better, it was -17°, both eyes were frost bitin, my back hurt, the sun was in my eyes, I lost my glasses, etc etc
.
Overall, very happy at $560. Thanks for the posts.
