An FBI sharp shooter shot and killed Randy Weaver's wife during the Ruby Ridge standoff several years ago.

oh you'd be surprised i know quite a bit about ruby ridge. i was just wondering if our northern friend had used his superduper campus magic kingdom powers to uncover a shooting where the lady holding the baby was pregnant. or if he was gilding the lily with the usual bs.

My guess is that that the state didn't really want to prosecute, but couldn't avoid it so sent in the B team to lose the case. If the defense is able to make just a little bit of doubt, the jury does what it is supposed to and votes not guilty.

There is almost never any justice in a real sense when LE misconduct occurs. Way too many people want it just swept under the rug.

For the people that alluded to the OJ case. I still think he did it. I also think the jury came out with the right verdict. Anytime you have a whole series of prosecution witnesses that perjure themselves in a case, you have to give the benefit of the doubt to the defendant, even if you think he is guilty.

There were chain of custody foul ups with evidence, ie who collected never signed off etc. Sloppy work all around.

I still think he did it. I also think the jury came out with the right verdict.

Carrion testified he used a "quick up" push-up method he learned in the military. Maybe that is why he put his hands where they couldn't be seen after being told too many times to keep his hands out. Remember- "Hands kill"

Just like the ~30 min Rodney king video, the media only plays the best sound bite or snippet to get the most viewers. Who here has seen the whole Webb video outside of the courtroom?

I just hope all of us can get a jury like that should we ever need to use deadly force when we genuinely feel our lives are in threatened (just like Webb did).

No matter, the officer did change his testimony as to the events that led up to the shooting. The officer would have been wise to wait for backup. The officer did tell the guy to get up. Then, the officer shot the guy three times. The officer is a rogue.

Remember that the Prosecutor needs the POLICE endorsement in order to get reelected. As we've seen in the Nifong matter, desperate politicians will often do anything to win.
