On 12/05/04 I placed an order for some LeMat parts from this company. Taylor advertises the parts and has a price list on their home page. The order was mainly a test to see if they could actually deliver LeMat Parts.

LeMat Parts are notably hard to get with no known comprehensive stocks of them in the United States and a very indifferent approach to customer service by the Pietta Company that manufactures them.

I ordered the parts inclding a Loading lever Retaining Spring-(fragile and easily broken.)

Hammer Screw- Easily buggered attempting to untorque during initial disassembly

Hammer Nose Spring- Powers the swiveling hammer nose between revolver an shot barrel mode.- It is thought to be prone to breakage

Hand andSpring assembly

The order, completely filled, arrived on January 29, 2005.

It would appear from the time frame that some or all of the parts were back ordered from Italy and are not domestically available. Nearly two months would be a long lag time for domestically available parts but is a fairly minimal time for back ordered parts from Europe.

I would call this experment encouraging as the only concerns I have found capable of the lemat parts have been Taylor and VTI gunparts. Others have tried without success.
