Here is my latest acquisition, a Ruger SR1911, carefully selected as you know
I have just received it, not even fired yet, just unpacked and slightly oiled, it comes dry.
I am not sure about the micarta grips, I will probably put on American walnut, hand crafted in Germany (the last one, new old stock).
All firearms pass inspection, firing and pressure test at Saint Etienne, it has been proofed of course

I like how the tight fitting makes nearly zero free play, just the minimum. It is stainless steel with black nitride finish, hopefully it will show nice wear marks, plus me being an idiot for sure
Compared to my Remington R1 (20 years older), this SR1911 is a tad more simple, fewer parts certainly because of the 70 series inspiration. I appreciate this.
