UPS Refuses to Ship Suppressors

Since when did Remington become the authority on USPS regulations?
Despite the USPS regs I've posted, you choose to take the advice of an anonymous Remington customer service rep?
That's not real smart.

No, published shipping instructions:

"Carefully package the stock, forend and frame (receiver) for shipping. (DO NOT SHIP YOUR EXISTING BARREL.) Send by U.S. Mail or U.P.S. insured to the following address (DO NOT MARK THE NATURE OF THE CONTENTS ON THE OUTSIDE OF SHIPPING CARTON):"

So I'm taking Remington's word and my ability to read and comprehend.

We are just talking in circles and reading the same document with different interpretations. We will have to agree to disagree. I'm done.

Sooo........
1. Is a firearm frame or receiver considered a firearm by USPS?
2. Is a frame or receiver "capable of being concealed on the person"?
3. Does USPS classify firearms "capable of being concealed on the person" as handguns for the purposes of mailing?
4. Will Remington aid in your defense if you are caught and prosecuted for violating USPS regulations?

I think the only "No" answer is #4

Actually, you haven't offered ANY interpretation at all.........just using Remington customer service as your excuse for violating USPS regs.

We will have to agree to disagree.
Your argument isn't with me....its with USPS. Good luck with that.:D

Why not stay on topic? The thread has nothing to do with long guns (which can be shipped via USPS by a non licensee)

Saying that USPS was used for a handgun labeled as machine parts is bull! If caught you are big trouble. If it is lost or stolen then no insurance applies either.

If still talking about handguns or receivers if they are serial numbered they are the gun. Just like AR lowers (finished)

Get with you local FFL and you can still ship via USPS from a FFL to FFL. with a form 1508.

Thank you "dogtown tom", I checked the links you provided. It looks like you are correct that it is a violation of federal law to mail a suppressor USPS.

Thank you, Dan
