Used 92FS

Just picked up a used Beretta 92FS, Made in Italy (don't know year) w/ 2 Hi-cap mags. The gun literally looks like it has never been fired. Mint condition. The mags don't even have wear on the outside of them. It was marked $429, but I talked them down to $399. Did I do well? The guy in the shop seemed to think I did.

You did fine. I've heard of others who paid less for a like-new Italian. Like some, I paid more for mine in mint condition (came with Beretta presentation grips). So, I think you did just fine. There are markings on your Italian model's trigger guard that indicate when it was made. Mine has the letters "AZ," indicating that it was made in the year 1990. Thanks. Proof Mark says BU, so I guess that makes it a 2004. They also had a few USA-Made in the shop, some were more, some were less. Are the Italian made ones more desirable? Is there anything I should know about the gun? How do they shoot? Accuracy? Reliability? Given the condition, I just couldn't turn it down.

One of my big regrets is letting go of a nice Italian-made 92FS a few years back. If I ever find another one (made in the early 90's, before the plastic parts were introduced) in mint conditon I'm going to be all over it.

sounds like a deal to me, i would be more than happy with that. i m not a fan of the 92's but if i was i would have jumped all over that too. congrats.
