Used Hi Point 9mm For Sale..

Have a friends whos Dad has a Hi point 9mm, He is getting rid of His Firearms because of His going into a Nursing Home. It has a Few scratches no major dings and looks like it needs a good cleaning from setting, Its been stored in a garage tool box and I believe thats where the dings and scratches came from..I doubt its been fired 300 rounds.I did some research on them and seems to be a lot more bad points than good but I can get it for $70 ...what Ya Think?
 
With a lifetime warranty sounds like a good deal to me.

While I have no experiance with the handguns I had a carbine that was functionaly flawless
 
Good "utility" guns as far as I'm concerned. The two that I owned for a while both worked fine and shot pretty accurately.

A C9 for $70 would have a welcome home in my toolbox any day of the week.
 
Gun snobs give bad points.

I know mine would only work at 100% with brass, keep that in mind.

They're heavy, but recoil is minimal.

Make sure you get the rear peep in the deal, makes sighting faster.

Offer $50, you may get it for $60.
 
Naw....got guns; always wanting components. $70 will get me a couple thousand primers, 2-3 pounds of powder or alloy for 750-1,300 bullets.
 
I'd give it a shot (pun intended) at that price. The Hi Point pistols are a decent value and have a lifetime warranty for all owners, much like Taurus guns.

Don't hand cycle live ammo through it if you can help it. The design makes it unsafe to hand cycle especially in a rough manner.
 
What have you got to lose? Seventy bucks? That's what? A couple tanks of gas? Couple cartons of smokes? A couple/three/four of boxes of ammo these days.

BTW. I had one. It worked just as well as any gun I've ever owned.
 
If you already have 9mm and have plenty of ammo stocked up, $50-$70 for a lightly used Hi Point isn't a bad deal.

If you have to buy ammo to go along with the gun, I'd pass.
 
I would grab it in a heartbeat. 9mm ammo is cheap (compared to most other handgun calibers) and there kinda fun to shoot. I wouldnt pay much more but at 70 you msy not get a chance like that again. I used to have one myself and there warrenty was great. I purchased used and it only jad the ghost ring site which i didnt like. Knowing i got it used and it was in no way hi points fault i didnt have the standard sites, they sent them for free along with an extra mag i didnt ask for.

I wouldnt use it for protection. Bit i think its a good plinker. I sold mine to fund a better gun. But i alwaus have an eye open for a sub $100 c9.
 
I've had the 9mm's and 380's and they both were 100% reliable, but as for accuracy unless you're standing 2' from your target, you'll miss.

if the slide clearance doesn't bother your shooting grip, sounds like a fine deal on a pistol you won't feel bad about wearing in situations that would damage the bodies of the guns you want to keep in better condition.

I can't safely grip the pistols, but their Carbine is a solid performer for a 9mm, and their warranty is top notch. Bad luck with aftermarket mags, but the HP ones work perfectly.
 
I agree with mustard.Offer $50 and see what they say.If they wanna negogiate then tell them $70 is "All you can afford".But if you dont want to go that route $70 is a good deal for a gun with a lifetime warranty regardless of what the gun snobs think.Take it.
 
get it. have had only one high point it was in 40s&w but it was a very accurate gun. never had a ftf or fte. heavy as a cinder block but always fired
 
On the forums they get a horrible rep. But the friend's that I tried out worked 100% of the time for reliability and combat accuracy for the 100 rounds I shot through it, and it had worked for several hundred rounds for him before that. It should also be noted that while he was good about practicing the safety rules of gun handling, he was novice enough to have not cleaned his gun since he'd bought it. I was impressed with the gun. Less so my friend's opinion of preventative maintenance.

For $70 I would bite.

I also enjoy "friend of a friend's neighbor's husband had one that blew off his hand" stories.

Then he and like 30 members of every online forum threw the gun in a lake somewhere because it was so dangerous.
 
I would jump on it.

There are a few guns that always seem to sell for a few bucks more than retail, even though they're used. P-95, Hi Points, and Sigmas. I guess people figure they're so cheap to begin with, that selling them for retail plus half the tax makes them a good deal!
 
I would be digging the panic money out of my truck and counting the change bucket coins from the kitchen instead of typing this if I had such an offer.

I even thought the old Stallards were worthwhile.

Especially given the current rumblings about "background checks" for individual sales. Can you say universal registration of gun owners?

C9 get it

For the past four years there are eight people here at the ranch on most weekends shooting HiPoint C9s and CF380 and loading ammo for them. I sent my first C9 back to the company after putting 5k rounds through it and never tore it down for major cleaning.

It came back with a note that said we only had to polish the inside rail. My second one is now up to 3k rounds. and all of them have been 124gr. RN and
loaded HOT. My bedside C9 is loaded with 147gr. Hot loads.

As far as hitting the target most of our shooting is done at 30' and the 10 round groups are 4to6". If you can't hit the target under 2' it is the hand on the gun. Not the C9.

BUY IT NOW.
