Use it to teach a history lesson to your local neo-Nazi group. Let them know that the very object in your hands contributed to the downfall of their mentors, and is a part of why they'll never be real Nazis.

i dont know where neo nazis are around here i know there used to be a ton of klan. I would take em out if it was legal but those racist d bags have rights too i guess......

We haven't seen much Klan around here since the 1920s. Mostly that was a scam to sell the expensive Klan gear to local yokels, in the guise of anti-French-Canadianism.

Some "World Church of the Creator" creatures came around here some years ago. The gossip around the range was that if they dared march in uniform in one of the towns, one of the aging WWII vets likely would tag them from a rooftop with a scoped Mosin. On friendly advice from the PD (which shoots at our range), they never marched.

I was planning on buying a few for nostalgia and arming the locals, but damn I think the remote replacement and beer can poker sounds like a stellar alternative.

when i start in law enforcement i really want to lock up these d bags

It's interesting that they are atheists. Usually it is religious radicalism that leads to hate. Doesn't make me want to bayonet them any less though...

Go shoot something and make your own damn soup!

What do you think I really do with them? I was kidding of course...in both of my posts.

More alternative uses:

Can Opener
Pole Vaulting
As a Small bridge (to get over a creek without getting wet)
Fishing Pole

Even when people become a bit less poor, these MN 44s, 91/30s etc have lots of value for the price, and are the 'Real McCoy'.
Nobody can call them commercial copies, unless they eat 'space brownies' for breakfast.

And I doubt that however nice-looking a civilian Ruger, Remington, Win. is with expensive gear screwed on, they will never be authentic WW2 combat rifles, (whether actually taken into combat or not, makes no difference).
For some of us, combat-styled rifles always beat the rest.

You could certainly gig frogs or flounder with them, of course.

As a combo tool you could attach a line to the muzzle area, cast out, then use it to paddle your boat to a new location while waiting to get a bite. Once caught just skewer the fish on your bayonet and pull the trigger, it'll be roasted by the fireball.

What an imaginative lot!
So, the M/N is, like, the Swiss Army knife of military rifles?

Works for me. I especially like that bayonet rifle rest idea. Too cool...

The bayonet can also be used as an expedient slotted screwdriver for those up high screws that need attention.

Plus, the bayonet works pretty good for spearing oranges that are juuust out of reach on the tree.
Just make sure it's your tree your getting them from. Growers down here are as well armed as most of us and have no sense of humor when it comes to trespassers sampling their crop.

my mosin shoots wonderful bullets over long distances and kills big deer
a half mile away and makes a loud boom when doing so. 1 arshin 2arshin
3 arshin 4 arshin

I really like my de-bubba'd T53. Someone did a professional job in cutting the barrel down past the bayonet lug and even rezero'd the front sight. I bought it, put a new M44 stock on it and now its about the same length as my 10/22.

Its accurate with Czech and Romanian, but I want to try reloading a quicker burning powder to eek out more accuracy.

Anyone got the thread or link showing how to slug a barrel?

Makes a good wall hanger when not in use.
