Using Your Bullets As "Cover"

Bullets ain't cover, this isn't to say that suppressive fire is useless, but just that you aren't using your outgoing bullets to deflect incoming bullets.

I had never trained FOF with sims with these guys, and they were pretty shocked. The worst part was that I was held up as an example of what not to do, since I had killed both of them. Oh well, I'll just try to play nice next time, but I'll continue to train for shooting on the move.

I'm afraid I don't understand: you'd eliminated both threats and survived.
Maybe you were supposed to talk them into surrendering?
