Utah BCI has removed the requirement to have your application notarized. This apparently has been done in an effort to streamline the process for students. Obtaining notarization on your Utah CFP application is no longer necessary. Instead, the student must simply acknowledge by their signature that all of the information contained on the application is true and accurate.

You can visit here to obtain the latest version of your application - http://publicsafety.utah.gov/bci/doc...ccwapp_007.pdf

Good. Requiring a notorized signature on the form was pretty stupid. Somebody got smart.....

I like the fact that it is easier to get but I hope that it doesn't come at the price of state reciprocity requirements. I would hate having an easier to get permit come at the cost of not being able to carry in a few states.(Probably not that many and hopefully none)

When I saw the thread title, I thought 'Oh no, they're bowing down to the states who won't honor that permit by meeting those arbitrary demands'. Glad to see it ain't that after all.
