I have the opportunity to buy a Weatherby Mark V Euromark .257 with a Weatherby Supreme 3-9X 44mm scope. It has had some use...in and out of vehicles and blinds that have left some predictable wear. I would judge it to be about 85-90% in appearance. Has probably been shot maybe 200 times, give or take. Overall a fine rifle. It's hard to find comparable guns on line. The owner wants me to do the research and make him a "fair offer". He trusts me. This post is part of my research to determine value and I'll appreciate your help. BTW, the rifle will also include a braided rifle sling, 50-60 rounds of ammo and RCBS reloading dies.

ask him what he's willing to accept. I think if you come in lower, he might get offended. If you come in higher, he'll take it.

You might also consider posting this question on the weatherbynation forum. Lots of Weatherby guys over there with good info.

This has been an interesting thread because I have an old Weatherby .257 that I haven't hunted with for several years and may offer for sale. I has this old scope on it that must be the same age as the rifle but still shoots pretty good. DSC_0246.JPG

That is a great looking rifle. Appears to be a Mauser 98 receiver. Is it one of the original Mark Vs or is it a custom build? I really like the checkering.

It is a true Weatherby on a commercial Mauser action, serial No. lower than 600. The stock is mesquite wood. I'm thinking of selling but have little idea of its value. Here are a couple more photos DSC_0253.JPG DSC_0250.JPG
