Had a family member pass away who was the first owner of a 1965-67 (approx) Remington 760 .30-06 with a 3x9x Redfield from the same era. Not sure if it's an ADL, BDL, etc, but it's supposedly in very good condition according to my dad.

Can anyone tell me what the blue book values are versus the expected sale price? I'll probably end up buying it, but I want the price to be fair for both parties (being family and all).

Thanks in advance.

I'd guess $300-$500, but I'm no expert. Phenomenal deer gun, I have rarely failed to put meat on the table with my 7600 (updated version of the 760).

In my version of "very good" and given my history with both rifle and scope - I'd go the top end (+) of Jeff's posted number. He being a "cheese head" no doubt knows these as well as I do with my own experience outa Minnesota with them.

You are right on. You can't throw a stick at deer hunting around here without hitting a 760/7600. My dad bought mine for me when I was 13 and I used it every year up until the last few. Won a savage 114 30-06 and have been using it. The 7600 only failed to put meat on the table one of those years, but I was in college and couldn't put the time in, so no fault of the rifles. Taken deer out past 400 yards with it. Finally blew out the Simmons scope on it, so I threw a Williams peep sight on it and its going to be my woods gun now. Can't wait to give it another try!
