As to the question of "need" - why did Rosa Parks "need" to sit in the front of the bus?

I don't need to justify exercising what is my right.
 
Having been through a lot of useless college, I have to say...

She'll never change the professors mind. All she will do is draw negative attention to herself and set herself up for a bad grade (or grades).

I admire her, but using logic with liberal professors (virtually all Of academia) is useless and is setting yourself up for bad grades or worse.

I could picture my wife saying the same kinds of things...but she doesn't actually own any of her own firearms. Yet.

As for setting up for bad/failing grades...That would be an exceedingly stupid thing for an English professor to try. All your wife has to do is keep all her homework records and exams for subsequent review.

Not hard to defend in such a class.

But honestly...I wouldn't worry about it. Especially since the prof isn't likely to be around for the whole course.

Lol, the English grades will be subjective. Especially her English grade.

Keep up the faith, though. And for gods sake don't borrow money to pay for college. For the most part it is a rip off.
 
Did one of my English classes last semester, my professor nixed a gun control discussion when one of the young Obamanites brought it up, I think it had to do with the feral grins on the faces of us former service personnel (Marines and Army) and this was a couple months before Sandyhook. She knew where I stood with my paper on gunsmithing. So did the professor even catch the insult in your wife's response?
 
There are times in your life when standing up for your beliefs outweigh the consequences. This was one of them! Give your wife a hug from all of us! ;)

That's the holier than thou Piers Morgan approach. They don't want your response in the first place because as far as they are concerned you are not qualified to answer it.....and they are really afraid you just might be.
 
Coming from the wife of a Marine Corps infantryman it doesn't surprise me at all!:D

Tell her I'm proud of her as well.

We need more women standing up for their rights and I guess that the prof. learned the hard way that the little lady sitting in class isn't such a soft target after all.
 
I suspect that your wife is already much t0o smart for whatever class that was she is attending. Good for her on presenting a clear, rational, logical rebuttal of a clearly ignorant liberal academic.

I'd definitely hang on to her, too!
