Mod/Hack for better vibe tumbler action.
I have 1 store bought (Lee) and 1 home built vibratory tumblers that I have improved the churning action by adding to the offset weight on the motor.
I turn them over, pop off the bottom cover to expose the motor/offset weight and add/twist some solder around that weight.
I add as much as I can (too much actually), and flip it over for testing.
I have media and brass loaded for testing as it's weight will change the action during operation, but I remove the cover to watch what's going on.
You'll know right away if you have added too much weight, as the tumbler will dance and spin around on the floor as soon as you turn it on!
Flip it over (put the cover back on), remove some solder, and retest.
Once you have the correct amount of solder, cover it with duct tape/replace the bottom cover (I didn't) and you're done.
Try it, no cost and is totally reversible if you don't like the results.
Just know that I tweak everything ,
