Vitahvouri N140 or N150 For .308?

Vitahvouri N140 or N150 For .308?

Yes to both of the above. Loading 150 or 168 Sierra for my bolt gun I tend to use the slightly slower N150. However same bullets in my M1A or AR10 match rifles I tend to run with the N140. Actually in my M1A I prefer a powder no slower than N140 but the N150 works OK. I suggest you load some for your rifle(s) and see how each powder performs. Remember it's about your rifle not mine. :)

N140 and N150 are great performers with a 168 in .308! N140 seems to do best for me with 150's and 168's, N150 with 168's and 175's. With that long tube and it being a bolt gun I'd go with N150. I'd give 175's a try with it as well, N150/175's should be a great combo for a 26" barrel. On the other hand N140 also does pretty darn well in .223, so if you were looking for a powder that does both, I'd go with N140.

Thanks, I'm looking to switch my .223 loads too at some point.
