Vortex performs again. They required a signature on the fedex return and fedex comes at 11am when no one is home. I called fedex and asked if they could return at 3-m when someone will be home or leave with a neighbor and was told fedex drivers are contractors and make their own hours and that route is done with my area early and cannot return. I said well what happens when they keep showing up at 11am and no one is home. they said it will be sent back to vortex or i could drive an hour one way to the warehouse and hope it was there and they could find it but i had between 7pm and 8pm to do it or call vortex and request they remove the signature or send to another address.

I called vortex and they were awesome! he said well we would rather not take the signature off but we can leave with a neighbor, deliver to your work or a relatives house. I said please have it shipped to a relatives house. I asked how long did they think this process would be and he said he would hang up with me and call FedEx right away for the change. ..

Not only did they overnight ship the scope after repair they are helping me out again. Very nice people to talk to also.

This is by far the best company i have ever dealt with.

Weird - my fed ex dude leaves a note which says either sign here to be left tomorrow, or call this number to schedule a pick up. Never has been an issue.

It's a little harsh to equate Vortex products to this movie clip, but I always think of the scene from Tommy Boy where they discuss printing a guarantee on the box... Vortex did earn their reputation for top tier customer service, it's just too often folks have to use it... I like my Viper HSLR and my Razor, but they wouldn't be my go-to choice of my life depended upon my optic. They do kick ass at timely and generous service.

Vortex sells excellent products and has great customer support. I have 5 of their optics and nary a problem. I bought one used and it was missing the lens cover. Could find one no where. Called Vortex and told them my story and if they would be able to sell me one. Told me that particular item wasn't a stand alone sales item and overnighted it for no charge.

First I have heard of Vortex putting out stuff that breaks all the time. I didn't come across any of that info before I bought from them.

In my experience mounting, boresighting and sighting in Crossfires for customers, they break a lot. They also have mediocre glass at best and horrible eye relief. Diamondbacks are a good scope for the money. Vipers to me have subpar glass(especially in low light) and critical eye relief for the money you pay. Where I sold optics we had more returns on Vortex than other brands, excluding Razors. Razors are excellent. I'm speaking from firsthand experience not second hand internet rumor.
