Before anyone starts telling me that i need to spend more money on binoculars or gets carried away answering questions i didnt ask just stop. I checked out a pair of Vortex fury binos the other day and i really like them and am thinking about picking up a pair. However the diamondback and crossfire lines are a little less expensive. If anyone could tell me of legitimate differences between the models and why the fury is worth 100 dollars more i would love to have that info. Thanks

Of course there is a difference. I like when people say there isn't a difference in two products from the same company. So you think Vortex offers the same quality in all of the optics, but the only difference is price??? Normally, I'd say that's flawed logic, but in this case it's not even logical to make such a statement.

There is a reason why the one line is $100 more. Owning a few Vortex optics, I would say it's glass quality and features in the scope or binos. Go to Vortex site and compare the specs and you will see the difference yourself.

The difference between one low-end set of binoculars and another low-end set of binoculars is negligible to the end user. In this case, the original poster does not care to hear any opinions and wanted to know what the difference between the two models is. Like most other optics in this range the differences will consist primarily of marketing drivel. I'd recommend saving just a little bit more and getting a pair of Nikon Monarch ATBs, a proven set of binoculars from a reputable manufacturer in his price range. A good place to start researching this would be at bird-watching sites.

Barring that, the best thing to suggest is to buy whatever cheap crap optic has caught his eye without actually doing any research into it. He doesn't want any advice, just to know what the difference is. The answer is "not much."

actually i was in the market for nikon monarchs until i went to the local sporting goods shop and looked at both, i looked at a fury (what they had in stock) and monarchs both 10 power and the nikons were nice but they really didnt hold a candle to the Vortex Fury as it relates to clarity. I didnt say i was sold completely on buying these i am still doing quite a bit of looking. what i didnt want was "I'd recommend saving just a little bit more and getting a pair of Nikon Monarch ATBs, a proven set of binoculars from a reputable manufacturer in his price range" im in the process of looking and i wanted my questions answered. You have failed sir, have a nice day.

Hence my original post.

your origional post was nothing more then an exhibit of you not knowing what you are talking about, vortex optics are quite respected they just dont have the name of some of the other brands. Again i thank you for your input, have a nice day. ;)

Pat the main difference is the fury has Vortex's anti reflection coating. This reduces glare while also allowing more light transmission.
