I have to wonder what Vortex was thinking with this. I have both the Viper PST 4-16x50mm FFP and the Viper PST 6-24x50mm FFP. Both have 5 mils per turn on the vertical adjustment and almost the same adjustment range of about 20 mils. So why is the horizontal scale on the front of the turret different, the one to indicate which revolution the turret is on? The windage is different too. The first photo is the 4-16 and the second is the 6-24. These turrets have close to 5 turns from stop to stop. The 4-16 scale makes much more sense to me.

Rotation Indicators on the Vortex Viper PST

Good afternoon,

These numbers are different on these two models as they have different amounts of travel. The 4-16x50 has 21MRAD total travel, whereas the 6-24x50 has 19MRAD total travel. The rotation indicators reflect this difference.

If there is anything else you'd like to know about these scopes or any of our other products, please do not hesitate to give us a ring, 1.800.426.0048 x5, or shoot us an e-mail at [email protected]

So wouldn't it make sense to have 0 to 4 on the 6-24 with its 19 mrad which equates to 4 rotations of the turret? That would be consistent with 0 to 5 on the 4-16. By the way, I'm very pleased with your scopes. I doubt there's a better scope available for the price and features.
