Hey guys,

Just installed a Vortex spitfire AR 1x on my Henry Big Boy X. Love the scope and feel it'll accomplish exactly what I want it to do. My only gripe is I feel the optic sits a tad high on the receiver. Insted of a good cheek weld I have more of a lower jaw weld. Anyone have any suggestions for mounts if available or ideas to possibly get it to sit any lower?

Unfortunately the controls and battery occupy the lower portion of the scope’s base so you’re stuck with the dimensions as delivered. The option that comes to mind however is a cheek riser of some sort to realign your eye while maintaining weld.

Accu Riser makes such a product which includes multiple height inserts, attachable via Velcro or 3M tape. Beartooth has a neoprene sleeve with foam inserts, and many of my rifles don Cheek Eez self adhesive pads in various thicknesses. I’ve used all 3 of the above and would recommend opting for whatever meets with your aesthetic approval.
