After recently changing my MSAR order from 7.62x39mm to 5.45x39.5mm, I have determined that it is necessary (okay perhaps not necessary...but that hasn't stopped me yet) to get a new Commie buddy for it. I have pretty well narrowed it to a D.Technik/Czechpoint build or a Ohio Ordnance Works build of the VZ.58 (or "VZ-2000" as termed by OOW). I am open to other suggestions (but I don't promise to listen ), but it MUST be a 7.62x39mm. Also does anyone know of any "from-the-ground-up" bullpup designs that fire 7.62x39mm other than the MSAR?
In addition to this I am looking for a good way to attach a low magnification (about 4x) optic to the VZ (should I choose this platform). The POSP seems like the obvious choice...but the brass ejects near vertically. Anyone tried one? Does the SVD mount clear with enough space for the brass to clear...if not how about the AK mount? EER optics, may be the obvious choice, but I don't like em', so that isn't an option for me.
TIA for the input.
