Down there by the river
I got a mountain of those infernal Federal primer boxes piled up in front of the wood stove.
There's gotta be some use for those things!
Blocking for um sumthin?
Storage trays for reeely tiny parts?
Come on you guys, there's gotta be a use. :D

I've been trying to figure that out for years. They burn pretty good.

I always put the paper covers in my wood stove and throw the plastic trays in the trash. You sure don't want to put plastic in your stove.

Why not? In the winter when the stove is always blazing anything burnable is disposed of in it.
That old parlor stove of mine is about a hundred years old, I've used it for 40, it's burned a lot of things in its life.

could put one under the kick stand of your motorcycle when parked on grass. shoot them. use them to hold primers.

I'm setting myself up for a hit, but:

I made a box with one side that opens up like a garage door for my powder scale.

I made the "ends of the box" out of Fed SPP plastic containers. It lets light in through the ends. It sits on a level shelf at eye level above my reloading bench, never gets moved and stays dust free.

:D:D

Except for the scale house idea, not a whole lotta help here :)
The dog took 1 outside, so I can expect to be picking up white pieces of plastic from that one for the next 5 years.

A little orange or florescent green spray paint and then line them up on a 2X4 rail or the top of target stand. Orange ,white, green,---repeat as needed. Shoot at will.:D That is what I do with mine before I dispose of them in the plastic recycle bin. If you want to really be responsible and stop litter you could pack them up and send them back to the factory in a BIG box after you save enough to send.:D

I put away unfired primers too when I have some left over.
But, I put them in those sensible trays, not those hugemongous Federal trays with an individual hole for each primer!

Decap about 100 spent bullets, and refill the primer tray. Then return them to wal-mart and inform them them that someone has already used these, and you would like a refund. I bet it works.
