Recently a poster reported that a foul up on Wal Mart's end in special ordering a rifle was made good by the store giving him the difference in cash to purchase from a different retailer. Perhaps a change in in the air...
December 12 I ordered a scope base for my daughters .22LR Crickett rifle. It was backordered--they said two weeks. No word by early January so I went in. They have my name listed but no idea if it had been ordered. Said to expect a call the next morning from the dept manager with an update. No call. GRRRRRRRRR
Went back last Friday, spoke to the department manager who said he had no idea of what had taken place. He had an employee call in another order. It was available and could be expected to arrive Wednesday. I went in today (Wednesday) and sure enough it was in. The sales clerk bagged it, handed to me, and said (get this) "On the house. Sorry for the mess up--thanks for being patient."
Good service, eh?
