hey fellow THR-folk,
i was wondering if someone here could help me. my wife works at a WalMart pharmacy and she gets a one-time additional discount for the holidays on top of her normal discount. of course, i'd love to use it on a firearm if possible. the problem is, they don't carry guns at her store.
as has been discussed here previously, WM took guns out of many of their stores, and it seems the austin area stores were hit particularly hard. i've called a few outside of town, but no luck so far. i know several dallas-area stores still carry them, but i'd like to not drive that far if possible. no manager that i've spoken with so far can tell me which area stores, if any, still carry firearms.
then it occurred to me...i could probably get a faster answer here than calling one store at a time and waiting on hold. so...please let me know of any store within an hour or two of austin that still sells long arms. your help is most appreciated. i have to use this discount by friday, and 20% of a walmart price is pretty much unbeatable.
ps...area stores do carry ammo, but i'm interested only in actual firearms. specifically a henry golden boy, which their website says they carry, at least at some stores.
