Got it out for the first time today for an outdoor shoot. It handles really well, no hiccups, and god the trigger is good. Had a friend with who shoots a bunch of his own guns and rentals at the range, he thought it was the best polymer handgun trigger he has tried. Kind of like a really good striker fire feel to it. For $350.00 or so it sure seems to be a good value, it's my new truck gun.

I also picked one up not long after they released and I must say I do agree with you! Very accurate, great trigger, reliable and cheap! My third Walther. Very nice gun!

I own more than my fair share of handguns, and I too am quite impressed with the Creed I recently purchased. It has a great deal to love about it, for very little money.

Do these new creed pistols carry the staghorn or shield w/crowns proof marks? I have the feeling it's a well made Umarex firearm, but I may grab a fde creed when they release them sometime this year anyways. Can't beat a good reliable cheap gun with a good trigger. I'm in love with my ppq 5" right now still.

Hmmm... you're right. But the softened the butthump and fixed the slide, and the trigger guard. The back end of the PPX is an abomination.

I've been hoping to win one, Walter is giving away a fancy cerakote one each month on Facebook.

They look about the same to me.
They use the same mags and the have the same barrels. I have the PPX and it is a very good gun.

Great Scott that PPX is hideous - that looks like it would be incredible uncomfortable to shoot with that bizarre hump in the backstrap. I would have to try one to be sure, but wow. Disclosure - the only Walthers I have fired are PPKs and P5s. I also know looks don't make a gun work better, but, wow.
So, getting past that - what are the strong points of these pistols. I have very little knowledge about them.

Most people agree the PPX looks hideous, but, strangely, people don't complain about the PPQ.

The PPX was, and the Creed is, Walther's economy pistol. The partially-cocked, DAO hammer-fired system provides a light, consistent trigger pull.

I had both a PPX and a Creed. I sold the Creed and kept the PPX as the PPX was a two tone gun. In two tone the PPX looks a lot better.

Nothing strange about it at all. The PPQ is a nice looking, well-balanced design. It's the difference between a Ferrari and a Fiero with a body kit. ;)

I own the Creed and find it quite comfortable to shoot and accurate despite it's looks.

It shoots WWB 115 fmj very well.

For some reason I thought the PPX was incredibly ugly. Like Walther let someone in the plant from Hi Point mess with the molds or something. The Creed looks a little better but nothing I would jump at the chance to buy. The biggest draw to me is the price. Low enough to be a car gun or something to stash for a really bad day with some sealed 9mm.

The Creed is really just a Gen. 2 PPX. The differences are cosmetic changes to the grip shape. The PPX was a commercial failure so they need a new name to make people think it was a different gun.

Actually it isn't that ugly. My Glock is great deal uglier. It doesn't bother me because death causing implements should be ugly.

Negative. They have the stag mark under the grip frame, and are made at the Ulm facility. 100% Walther.

But not on the slide? It's a 50/50 gun most likely, slide and barrel made at the Arnsberg plant and frame/assembly at the Ulm plant. I don't hate the idea as long as it works well which by all accounts it does. But who knows anymore? You're probably right and I may be wrong. Some of the real Walther enthusiasts over on the walther forum really believe it to be 50/50, while some argue the ppx was 100% Ulm plant made and this being a gen2 would be the same. All I know for sure is I love walthers, especially the ppq series.

It's most likely assembled and proofed in Germany from Polish components (their police pistols are made in Radom). These aren't so inexpensive as others are insanely overpriced with Glock determining cost of others.
