That's right, with a little searching, you can find the names of over 30,000 legal pistol permit holders in Westchester and Rockland counties!

It's ashame that it's legal.

oh- and old news, just freshly annoying to me.

It's a shame that it's legal.

Well it is public information and when you (or every one of the 30,000+) signed their conceal carry paperwork, they obstinately "joined" the public record. I agree it is childish or very elementary for the paper to list all of the conceal carry permit / license holders information.

If someone is really "put :cuss: off" by their public information being published, there are many bits of public information available to anyone who asks to see it - like D.U.I.'s / abuse / "kinky U.S. Senator kinda stuff" - that could also find its way into publication. It is all public data, right?

Agent-J remember as ones proximity to NYC increases their 2nd ammendment rights DECREASE! Hmmm I guess thats why I live 400+ miles away from it:)

NYC is not part of the United States, the 2nd Amendment does not apply. However if you get caught violating the laws there, your voting and firearms rights in the United States are null and void. You basically become a non-citizen for being caught carrying a firearm in NYC. Not to mention your chance at any type of meaningful living for the rest of your life as you will basically end up being a felon. My recommendation is to never visit NYC. Don't think about it, and pretend it doesn't even exist. Never give your money to anyone from there, especially investment firms or stock brokers. In fact if it suddenly disappeared, it would probably be the best for all of us... Except New Yawkers.

New York City is the black hole of second amendment rights. Once you cross the event horizon, all hope of maintaining those rights is sucked in and crushed into a singularity.

I was thinking of moving back to WNY but their gun laws are terrible and taxes way too high,:barf: nevermind. i like Ohios gun laws better:neener:

This very thing happened in my area...Virginia. The sad thing is that this published list included the physical addresses of women who were in hiding from their abusive husbands/boyfriends.

I grew up in NY state and the gun laws there are quite sad. If I was to ever move back to the region I would have to move to Vermont and commute. It is just sad. It will always be home but when I can't take my lawfully purchased possessions there I don't really want to go.

Yep, NY sucks bad. I really, really, hate this s@&$ pit. Wish I could move, but for now I'm suck swimming in the cesspool with the liberal up here. Gives me about three headaches a week thinking about why the heck I left AZ to come back to this hole.

yeah seriously, i was told to "file a lawsuit", and i dont even live in NY.

but anyway, just be glad that you still CAN carry up there.

Vermont

Our days are numbered up here in Vermont it's just a matter of time. It's amazing that we have survived the anti gun crew for this long. EVERYONE is buying firearms and ammo like crazy. I've done pretty good this last month myself, We don't sell much but the repairs are coming in like crazy and anything that's high speed for accessories is moving FAST. Most venders won't sell to anyone from NY...trying to keep it in state, is what they say.
SCARY. I think I'm going back to refinishig auto & truck part. It's a shame because I bought about $18000.00 in equipment specificly for firearms.
