For all of you out there running a Knoxx Sidewinder on your Mossberg, I have a little warning for you.
Do not use any cheap buckshot or slugs. When I say cheap I mean the shells with a plastic "cap" rather than a full crimp. These shells are normally clear in color as well. The cheap 00 buck I was using was Nobel Sport.
Due to the fact that the shells are in a box or drum magazine and not end to end in a tube, the recoil forces can cause the shells "cap" to come loose and spill the shot into the magazine and leave you shooting nothing but a wadding. Annoying at the range, defeating in competition and deadly in a HD situation.
Stick to a good, fully crimped shell for the Sidewinder. My favorite to practice with is Estate. It's Federal actually but much cheeper.
