WASR or Saiga

AK is not a long range rifle.. it is a battle rifle. If you want to plink, have fun and have a gun that will work just like any other AK.. get the WSAR. They are fine. If you want a hunting rifle, get the Saiga. If you want a precision combat rifle.. get an AR.

I have a WSAR and it is just fine and fun to shoot and it eats everything I throw at it and keeps going.

5whiskey, what mods have you done? I've seen a few range reports here (and elsewhere, probably) where members would get 1" groups at 100 yards out of their Saigas with cheap wolf ammo.

I've seen these reports too, but I've never actually seen it done with any consistency.

I suspect that some of these people may have fired one or two 1" 5 shot groups at 100 yards and a lot of 2, 3 or 4 inch groups. Unfortunately, to a lot of people, a couple of 1" groups means their rifle can shoot 1 MOA "all day long".
